
Rand Westlund
Chief Investment Officer
Rand is responsible for overall asset allocation and equity investment research in his CIO capacity. Under his direction, the Wealth Management & Trust Department manages institutional and personal portfolios using individual securities and mutual funds covering both the fixed income and equity markets. Rand graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bethel College in St. Paul, MN, with a degree in mathematics and minors in education and physics. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991.

Kevin Bruns
SVP, Wealth Management & Trust
As senior vice president of wealth management, Kevin is responsible for managing the trust and investment departments at Community Bank & Trust as well as our sister bank, Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust. Kevin has over 25 years of experience in financial planning, investments, and trust administration. Kevin graduated from Wartburg College and completed his master’s degree in economics at Western Illinois University. Prior to joining Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust, Kevin worked for regional banks in the Twin Cities area where he served as vice president and personal trust manager.

Tammy Fleming
SVP, Personal Trust Officer
With over 20 years in the banking industry, Tammy started at Community Bank in 2011. She attended Upper Iowa University where she received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and earned a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation. A native of Jesup, Tammy supports her community by volunteering at various Jesup athletic events and is a journal partner with a student at Cunningham Elementary. With over 16 years of experience in wealth management and trust departments, she has the skills to manage your financial needs.

Mitch Dellamuth
Investment Officer
A University of Northern Iowa graduate with a double major in Finance and Real Estate, Mitch joins the Wealth Management and Trust team as the Portfolio Manager. Mitch started part-time with the bank in November of 2017 and began full-time in January of 2018. He will be assisting clients in both our Cedar Rapids and Cedar Valley locations, focusing on the investment side and actively working with our clients to meet their financial goals.

Debbie Hummel
Trust Operations Assistant
Debbie has over 30 years of banking experience and has been with Community Bank & Trust since 2000. She joined the Wealth Management & Trust Department team in 2013. Debbie assists the trust officers with the daily tasks of the department and provides assistance with the retirement benefit plans.

Laurel Thompson
Wealth Management Assistant
Laurel served under a financial advisor for 8 years. Laurel’s specialty is the numerous retirement plans which the bank serves. Managing relationships and providing efficient customer service is a high priority. She has extensive experience with financial planning helping clients achieve longer term objectives. For 22 years, Laurel and her husband, Jeff, have resided in Cedar Falls. She received an art degree and journalism minor from the University of Northern Iowa. In her spare time she enjoys walking her 2 dogs, gardening, camping and reading.

Austin Hermsen
Wealth Management Assistant
Austin joined CBT in 2020 as a Community Banker while finishing his Finance Degree at the University of Northern Iowa. Recently a graduate, he is now furthering his career path with CBT as our Wealth Management Assistant, helping our Trust Officers with their day-to-day tasks. Austin grew up in Dyersville, IA, he enjoys watching sports and boating with friends and family.
